Corrour

I can't tell you how excited I was to go on this trip. I've wanted to go for years but didn't believe with my poor lung function that I would ever be fit enough to walk the mile to the hostel carrying a back pack. Well here I am at Crainlarich Station waiting for the train to Corrour

After a beautiful and amazing train journey we arrived at Corrour Station

There were some great characters waiting at the station for the Glasgow train. We also waited for our friends who were joining us for the trip

The station house is now a hotel run by a lovely young couple. We had a delicious dinner there later

Ah here's the train from the North

Bringing Trish, Mary-Helen, Kay and my sister April

We headed off to Loch Ossian Hostel

Our home for the next 2 nights

Its really cosy inside

Bo'ness to Blackness Castle

A walk I have wanted to do for a while is Bo'ness to Blackness Castle today. The sun was shining but a bit windy.

There is a path along the coast which goes past an industrial part of the town

Great views of the Forth Rail and Road Bridges

Blackness Castle

The path gets a little more difficult past this building

Just around this point I got stung by, I think, a wasp. It was unbelievably sore. I decided to go back to the car. I was not happy at all. I will return to the Castle another day to continue my walk.

This is back at the Railway Station. the picture's don't look real. Its like a scene out of Thomas and the Tank Engine
