Beach Clean

I've wanted to help with a Beach Clean for ages. So my Daily Walk took me to Blackness Castle to join the Marine Conservation Society and Marks and Spencer's staff, survey a local beach.

I didn't think the beach looked like it had much rubbish on it at all ( how wrong I was)

First, we did a survey of rubbish we collected between the flags. Most of the rubbish is washed up from the tide.

This is the rubbish we found between the flags and then we extended the clean along the whole length of the beach

I saw these lovely old water pumps on the way back to the car

Bo'ness to Blackness Castle

A walk I have wanted to do for a while is Bo'ness to Blackness Castle today. The sun was shining but a bit windy.

There is a path along the coast which goes past an industrial part of the town

Great views of the Forth Rail and Road Bridges

Blackness Castle

The path gets a little more difficult past this building

Just around this point I got stung by, I think, a wasp. It was unbelievably sore. I decided to go back to the car. I was not happy at all. I will return to the Castle another day to continue my walk.

This is back at the Railway Station. the picture's don't look real. Its like a scene out of Thomas and the Tank Engine
