Garadbhan, Drymen

A very stormy day today near Drymen

It was a bit like dicing with death walking through the wood with the wind howling

It was raining and the rain drops felt like needles on the tiny bit of my face which was exposed but I was well wrapped up and it felt good to be outside

A lot of the wood had been cut down

I could see great views over Loch Lomond but a bit too misty today

The road up to the walk was a bit of a challenge with the fallen trees

Queen's View and The Whangie

A walk I've been meaning to do for ages. I left Dunblane in sunshine and drove through torrential rain. I thought I would have to abandon this choice but as I arrived at the car park it cleared

Its quite steep at first but I took it slowly and to be honest it was easy to keep stopping to admire the fabulous view. Queen Victoria caught her first glimpse of Loch Lomond from here

Every direction was breath taking

Heading up to Queens View

That looks an interesting walk?

Loch Lomond..... Absolutely beautiful

It was a bit misty but the sun was trying to come out

The path hugged the side of the hill

The photos are not giving the true picture. It was much more spectacular being there

It kept changing all the time

Heading back to the car. I think this is Strath Kelvin
I think this walk was one of my Highlights this year..........

Millenium Walk, Balmaha

What a beautiful walk in Balmaha today on the Banks of Loch Lomond. Weather glorious

The path heads down towards the water from the car park

Not sure what this mushroom is?

Boats at Balmaha. The small island is Clairinsh

Looking towards Glen Luss where I walked earlier in the year

Looking North

Fly Agaric on the steps up the hill

Inchcailloch Island which is a five minute boat ride from Balmaha, I walked on the island last year when the blue bells were out. Worth seeing.......

Glen Luss

View from the top

I've been there............I love walking through glens

I'm glad they built this bridge so I didn't need to wade through the loch
