The Kelpies at the Helix

We set off to explore the Helix for my daily walk. Its a large area in Falkirk.

Part of it is next to the Forth and Union Canal
 

 

These are the Kelpies, designed by Andy Scott. They are close to the motor way and are 100ft tall

 

There is a large wet land area

 

with board walks across it

 

 

We decided to cross over to the other side of the canal to see if we could get closer to the Kelpies

 

We were able to get very close to them

 

I believe once they are finished it will be possible to go inside them

 

 

This is where the canal meets the river. Think its the River Carron. The tide was coming in incredibly fast

 

So much work to produce these

 

 

This is also a beautiful creature

 

and still a few wild flowers about

 

 

and a few mushrooms
