Black Hill, Pendreich, Sheriffmuir

I took the Sheriffmuir Road home tonight and stopped at the Pendreich Wood Car park. I have driven past here on numerous occasions and have meant to explore before now. That's why I love this decision to walk everyday as I'm doing all these walks I've been meaning to.

It was raining slightly

Excellent mushrooms

This is a rain drop..............

The light in the wood was lovely. The orange lichen was a strong colour. Quite a few of the trees had it growing on one side of the bark

I returned to the car park and was greeted with this beautiful picture of the light through the trees. There were so many paths in the woods but I wanted to explore another track from the car park

This looked an interesting path.

The mist swirling around the trees looked stunning

This was a small gap in the trees looking over Stirling

I continued walking for about 15 minutes but did not reach the top of the hill. I was hungry and needed home for my tea

Great views on the way down over Dumyat
