Meikle Bin

I headed to Meikle Bin today a small hill in the Carron Valley. There is a good car park at Todholes

 

There was an inviting track through the woods

 

 

and good views of the Carron Water

 

 

I managed 45 mins of slow up hill walking without have to stop to get my breath. Really good to see my fitness has improved so much. I used to avoid hills

 

 

I decided to not continue to the top although I don't think I was too far away. I will definitely do it next time

 

Great to see such a blue sky

 

Old Windmill, Fishcross

I walked another part of the Devon Way from Tillycoultry to Fishcross. The Ochils looking beautiful.

Its a good path easy to follow

The information boards are good and tell you how many miles are between points

This is an old windmill which was changed into a Dovecote. Impressive looking building
