Attenborough Centre, Nottingham (another english walk)

We had a great day at this Centre. They are old gravel pits which have been flooded. Its a massive area near Darby beside the River Trent

A beautiful Canadian Goose came to say Hello

there was a tufted duck or two swimming about

It was hard to believe we were in the middle of such a busy part of the world.

This is the Visitor Centre which has a shop and great café.

Strange sight...... this massive power station and such tranquillity

We could see Canada Geese, Cormorants, Lapwings, Swans, another goose we couldn't identify and other birds we weren't sure of. I remembered my telescope but not the bird identification book.........

There were many paths and lots of Hides and quiet areas to watch the birds

I loved this Hide high above the wetlands

This is the River Trent

There were plenty of seats for a rest

Another view of the river

There was plenty of peace and quiet despite a lots of people being around
