Gigha

We headed up the hill from the Bed and Breakfast to visit the Ogham Stone. Below us was Kilchattan (St Cathan's)

Ogham Stone. This is an ancient standing stone with inscriptions that no one has been able to decipher.

At the top of the hill were great views all round

This is the south of the island by the South Pier.

This nest of Swifts were just above the door way to the Community Centre

We had been told there was a nice beach at the end of this road

This was the beach, not bad........

It was lovely lying in the sun. I expected Pete to come round the corner at any moment in the inflatable with lunch

This was the biggest orchid I have ever seen.

We next visited the Achamore Gardens This is Servants Walk

This is Achamore House which is a bed and Breakfast. Its surrounded by the Gardens which belong to the community although the house is privately owned.

Me in a Bamboo Forest

A photo for my niece, Susan as she likes cats. It was hanging around one of the gardeners and then came and sat beside us. We had had a long day walking and it was good to have a seat in the peace and quiet of the gardens.
