Inchcolm

A great adventure today as we set out on our inflatable boat Waspie to Inchcolm Island on the Forth
This is our son Lawrence
Alex ( Lawrence's twin brother) took us under the Forth Bridges on the way to the island
We could see the new bridge, which is in the process of being built

I remember as a child being taken for a drive over the Road Bridge when it was first opened

It was amazing driving under the road bridge

We wondered if these little homes on the Rail Bridge are rented out for holiday homes?

Yes! two puffins

 approaching Inchcolm Island

Inchcolm Abbey

We arrived just as the last visitors were leaving the island. We had the island to our selves apart from the two Historic Scotland staff who stay there all summer.

Is that a ghost? Oh its just Alex in a reflective coat

Lawrence and Pete went up this tower. The passage up to it was too narrow and scary for me

A Nissan Hut left from the war
The island was covered in nesting Black Backed Gulls
Arthurs Seat.... I've climbed that!
The island is not far from Edinburgh

Back on board and on our way home
We passed seals sun bathing. This one has been very badly damaged by something?

Back at Port Edgar and time for Pete and Alex to take Waspie out of the water. We had, had a fantastic day and a great walk.
