Bannockburn Heritage Trail

Walked at lunchtime today as I was back at work. It was nice and sunny. The last few weeks have been brilliant. I walked only part of the Heritage Trial going past the place where James III fell off his horse and died. I always knew horses were dangerous things.

 

 There are different stories about James IIIs ending. This is another.

There is a ford beside the bridge here.

 

The ford from the other side with another path off. I often wonder for how many years these paths have been in use and who walked along them.
