Hurrah. I managed a small walk today. It has been very frustrating not being able to walk. My foot is so much better after 72 hours rest, although still looking black from the brusing. Pete took me to see the Atlantic Wall in Sherrifmuir. Pass the Sherrifmuir Inn on your left, continue up the road and pass a small wood on the right. You will soon see the wall on the right, not far from the road. It was built in the 2nd World War to enable the soldiers to practise before going to France to tackle the real one.
The hills were covered in Bog Cotton
Me at the wall to show you how high it is at the back
You can see our car on the road. There is a ditch in front of the wall.
