Ormond Castle, Avoch, Black Isle

Todays walk started in Avoch (pronounced och) on the Black Isle. We were heading for Ormond Castle.

Plenty of parking

 Loads of Lesser Celandine

Is this Marsh-Marigold?

Ah yes.....  Primroses

This was a beautiful Avenue to walk along

The landscape on the Black Isle is gentle and easy on the eyes

This is where the 13th Century Ormond Castle stood. Oliver Cromwell destroyed it in 1650 in order to build his fortress in Inverness

 Munlochy Bay
