Newton Bridge in the Sma Glen, by Glenalmond

Great, a day off, so I headed for the Sma Glen and parked at Newton Bridge. I had only ever driven through this glen so I was looking forwards to explore on foot

Plenty of parking

I headed over the Bridge and turned down the track to walk along Glen Almond

This goes all the way to Loch Tay which is 14 miles. It also joins the Rob Roy Way

How long must it have taken to build this wall all the way up the hill? It disappeared into the mist. At least there are a lot of rocks lying about to be used in it's building. But why build it in the first place?

I can't find anything on the Internet about Connachan March. How ever now there is!

Quite a lot of snow around still
