A blissfully sunny day as I headed up the road to Carron Bridge until I reached the Stockbridge Woods

When I looked back at Stirling this was the view.........
Not far to go
This is the path into the woods, difficult to spot, but I had been here before so I knew where to look
Its such a pretty place to be
On the way back to the car I saw this caterpillar which I think would have been about 5 inches long
We think its an Elephant Hawk Moth. Pete has sent a picture to the Butterfly Conservation Society so we will know for sure. The moth is beautiful
